Voici quelques images de l'expo que je présente avec Paul Brunet jusqu'au 11 août à la maison de la culture Rosemont à Montréal.
Une sélection des œuvres récentes de chacun des artistes est exposée ici, proposant un parcours narratif qui instaure un dialogue entre des œuvres créées au départ sans liens entre elles. En suivant le principe du Cut-up, procédé de découpe et de fragmentation cher à William S. Burroughs, les artistes font surgir un récit inattendu entre les œuvres ainsi rassemblées.
La représentation de scènes en forêt en est le fil conducteur. Environnement propice à nos rêveries ou à nos cauchemars, lieu générique de l’humanité; la forêt nous attire et nous inquiète à la fois. Il y a quelque chose au fond des bois que nous ne voulons pas voir ou que nous avons tout simplement peur de découvrir.

Here are a few pictures of the exhibition I present in company of Paul Brunet until August 11 at the Maison de la culture Rosemont in Montreal.
A selection of recent works by each of the artists is presented here, proposing a narrative path that establishes a dialogue between works initially created without links between them. Following the concept of Cut-up, an editing process based on fragmentation dear to William S. Burroughs, the artists bring out an unexpected narrative between the gathered works. Woodland scenes representation is the common thread. Environment conducive to our daydreams or our nightmares, generic birthplace of humanity; the forest attracts us and worries us both. There is something in the woods that we do not want to see or that we are just afraid to discover.
